 When I started guitar lessons, I couldn’t even tell you how to hold a guitar, so I had a long way to go.  Christy coached me through the most elemental of basics.  She has been flexible in choosing songs which motivate me to practice and patient in guiding my progress.  I always feel as though she is encouraging me to succeed.  I never feel that she is critical of my errors or that I am slow for not quickly grasping a concept.  Most of all, I am having a good time at my lessons and pleased at seeing my progress as Christy’s student.  Christy is a great teacher and am lucky to have found her. – Lee H. 

Christy has an amazing gift in connecting with her students and special kids teaching them how to play guitar. My granddaughter Anne Marie has high-functioning autism and began taking guitar lessons at age 10.  I saw her hand/eye coordination and motor skills improve within weeks and she learned to work through the frustrations that come with learning new things.  It really was "music therapy!"  In the first year, Anne Marie was playing her favorite Beatles songs and wanting to write songs on her own.  When Christy taught her to read music, Anne Marie was inspired to take her guitar songs and teach herself to play them on our piano at home.  Music is Ann Marie's "comfort zone" thanks to Christy's patient teaching.  - Jeanne 

I started taking guitar lessons when Christy was teaching at a coffee shop in Scottsdale, AZ.  She radiated patience as my aging fingers stumbled over guitar chords.  Christy told me to sing the songs I love.  At our first lesson I belted out "Amazing Grace" to the dismay of nearby patrons.  Months later I wrote the opening of my first musical and six months later I was in a studio with Christy and five actors recording the work.  Her spirit, skill, driving guitar and flair for sharpening my lyrics and music gave life to RE: Undine Odine.  Christy's work has made my work possible."
